There are only twenty-nine days left(or less) until the world is graced with the presence of baby Baird! Meg's pregnancy has been a wonderful adventure thus far and it is exciting to think that we are going to begin Part II in the parenthood saga very soon. We had another NST today and a meeting with Meg's doctor, Sharon Maturo. She was very happy to see us and is excited to see our little man in the flesh. She informed us that everything is going great with Megan and baby, Megan has managed to slow baby's growth considerably since we've been maintaining Meg's blood sugars very well. The sonogram technician estimated that he is around 5lbs 9oz and is now only in the 55th percentile weight wise, he was in the 75th percentile a few weeks ago. So now baby should only end up being anywhere between 7-9 pounds. We had another sono performed and baby is looking great! You can see his little foot in one of the pictured and the other one (it is hard to tell) you can see hair! The technician said we have a furry little man coming our way which put a big smile on both of our faces. It is hard to believe that in four weeks we'll be parents! It seems like yesterday we found out that Meg was pregnant and now we can both relate to the feeling older family members have when they say "You've grown up so fast!" Megan and I feel very blessed with the opportunity to bring another life into this world and are very lucky and grateful for all of our family, friends, and support group in general!
At this point in the pregnancy baby Baird is quite the extraordinary little man! He can sense changed in temperature from hot to cold and can even gauge the sensation of pressure changes!
