Happy 1st Birthday Jackson!

Jackson James Baird was born on September 15, 2010 at 11:10A.M. This past Saturday we celebrated our little man turning 1! I can't believe how fast this year has gone by already. It has been an amazing, crazy, exhausting journey for Adam and I. Even though Jackson wasn't planned, I could not imagine my life without him now. Words will never be able to describe how much love you can instantly have for someone so small. I am so thankful to have such great friends and family in our life. A BIG thank you to everyone who came out in the crummy weather we had on Saturday, it meant the world to Adam and I and I know Jackson as well to have so many loved ones come out and help us celebrate. We love you all so much and thank you for everything that you've done for us this past year.

My New Pumped Up Kicks

We bought our first pair of shoes this past weekend! It was a pretty amazing experience. Once we got his shoes on, it looked like he aged about 2 months. Can't believe our little man is going to be one soon. Here are some pictures that we got of him getting sized for his new kicks. After we got our new shoes, we went on our first merry-go-round ride with Grandma Ann. I think Jackson was too involved in people watching to really know what was going on.

A little perplexed... 

Lately...

Well, things have been quite crazy here lately, hence the lack of blogging. Between home life and work life, it's hard to find a minute for anything these days. Adam and I have been busy planning Jackson's 1st birthday! Can't believe how fast time has gone by! I've been trying to capture some pictures of the little monster, but he's gotten pretty fast at beating the camera...here are some that I managed to snap. There will definitely be more to come! Heat Wave

I've lost track of how many days it's been over 100 degrees here in Kansas City, but while it's been too hot to go play outside, Jackson has learned something new to keep his mom and dad occupied. Enjoy the video :) My apologies for being sideways. I could not for the life of me figure out how to turn it around...enjoy!!

On Your Mark...Get Set....GO!

We've had quite the busy last few days. We are proud to announce that one front tooth has begun to break through!! That's right folks! It's not much, but it's a start and it's been a long time coming! On top of that exciting news, there's more...Jackson has been trying to walk! We've been trying to take a step or two for the last few days. He is pretty successful at getting about two steps before falling (safely). Before we know it, this kid is going to be off and running...

This past weekend we've also begun to experiment with some new foods. As you can see below, we've started eating Cheerios and some real fruit. I finally invested in a mesh eater, you can see what it is here. It's helped Jackson munch on some of the larger solid foods that he is unable to chew properly without his top two pearly whites. 

It's become almost impossible to get a clear shot of this little one running around. It usually requires about anywhere from 10-20 shots (if that) to get a non blurry picture. These were the clearest I've been able to get lately, enjoy!

Our 1st Fourth of July

We had quite the busy weekend here at the Baird household! We did lots of fun activities that not only wore Jackson out but mom and dad as well! I think Adam and I are still recuperating from this weekend...

On top of doing lots of swimming, yesterday we went to our Aunt Jen's house and hung out with our favorite friend Zyon! We had a small BBQ and even got to play the piano together!

 Then we went home and played with our toys....

Fun Filled Family Week

We had a very exciting weekend, Uncle Jordan was in town from California. He hasn't seen Jackson since we left the hospital so needless to say he was quite shocked when he saw him. He brought his guitar with him and we got a private show! Jackson was his number one fan and absolutely loved the music! It was also a very special weekend, all three brothers were baptized on Friday. It was a beautiful ceremony and something that their mom has wanted for a long time.  It has been an exciting family filled week for us and as great as it is to see everyone, it is sad to see them go! We captured many great moments of Jackson (as usual) and here are just a few--

Hello 9 Months!

We went to our 9 month appointment the other day, Jackson is doing quite well and growing like a weed! He currently weighs 18lbs 7oz, and is 27 3/4 inches tall! Jackson can basically eat anything as long as we chop it up into little pieces. What we're most concerned about now is safety!

Here's What I Can Do Now!

• Feed self crackers
• Transfer a toy/object from one hand to the other
• Look for a fallen object
• Pull to standing and stand holding onto something

Uncle Dillon was in town this past weekend and came over to hang out for awhile, we had a blast!  I liked pulling on his hair!

Yesterday we went to the Kansas City Zoo! Even though we got rained out, we had a lot of fun! Here are a few pictures to enjoy from our day. Sorry about my lack of blogging lately.
